Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. She's most famous as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz early. The actress was in lead roles in dramas on television as young when she was just 16. After the critically-acclaimed performance in the television movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. It was nominated for an Oscar and won critical acclaim. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects over her career. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon in addition to other projects. She was also on juries for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and was also a juror at Cannes Film Festival.
